Edo Period, Shinrei Yaguchi no Watashi, Joruri Libretto, Old Book, Practice Text

This is an old Joruri script with publication seals from Osaka publishers, such as "Tamagawa Genjiro" and "Temmaya Katsukichi," and is estimated to be from the Tenpo to Kaei eras (around the 1830s-1850s).

The cover reads "Yaguchi no Watashi," and the colophon features a boldly written title and publication seals. This was a practical book used for plays and vocal training at the time.

Overall, there is age-related yellowing, insect damage, and soiling, but the ink color of the text is dark, and the kana usage and handwriting are clear. The binding as a Japanese-style book remains, giving a sense of the era.
