VL & A Rain Poncho - vintage 1940s - 1960s authentic army green rain jacket overcoat poncho and original matching storage bag. Made by the brand Von Lengerke & Antoine, brand was in Chicago from the early 1900s, bought out by Abercrombie & Fitch in 1928, and the name officially removed in the 60s.
VL & A is best known for manufacturing guns during this time in history to law enforcement, and Chicagos mobs, particularly in Capones neighborhoods. They later went on to manufacture sporting goods and clothing. Super cool piece of history given to me from a family member, hard to find too much on there clothing as most records are gone from the time the company was using this name.
